Well, here it is autumn already, and I haven't even written about "what I did on my summer vacation." I loved it. I live for summer. It doesn"t much matter what I do as long as I get to the beach, walk on the boardwalk and enjoy family and friends. But one of the really great things that I did, in addition to the above, was visit the Emily Dickinson house and museum in Amherst, MA. Her presence is absolutely felt in the home where she spent most of her life. What I found most interesting was that, although considered a recluse, it is clear that she was very much in touch with the outside world through her family, publications brought into the home and the location of the home which most local activity passed. It seems that Emily didn't miss much, through exterior as well as interior landscapes. # posted by DM Anderson @ 2:05 PM |
