But I’ve come to respect it as a time for self-reflection and renewal, embrace the cleansing of crisp winter air, and peaceful stillness on a clear winter night. Here we can reflect on the past year and snuggle up with our thoughts, while the life we are creating becomes clear as a starry winter night and the life we envision shines bright as the winter moon. Labels: Winter # posted by DM Anderson @ 11:39 PM On Saturday, Write To Be celebrated its revision with a cocktail reception in the gallery at Printmaking Council of New Jersey in Somerset County. I presented a workshop, "Creativity and Wellness," based on work from my forthcoming program and book. A wonderful gathering of friends, family, artists, writers, psychologists and educators attended. The energy was incredible. I thank you all for your friendship and support. I am very grateful for the loving people in my life and to be doing this work. Labels: Write To Be Launch/Creativity and Wellness # posted by DM Anderson @ 5:58 AM Well, here it is autumn already, and I haven't even written about "what I did on my summer vacation." I loved it. I live for summer. It doesn"t much matter what I do as long as I get to the beach, walk on the boardwalk and enjoy family and friends. But one of the really great things that I did, in addition to the above, was visit the Emily Dickinson house and museum in Amherst, MA. Her presence is absolutely felt in the home where she spent most of her life. What I found most interesting was that, although considered a recluse, it is clear that she was very much in touch with the outside world through her family, publications brought into the home and the location of the home which most local activity passed. It seems that Emily didn't miss much, through exterior as well as interior landscapes. # posted by DM Anderson @ 2:05 PM This being the last day of the 2007 US Open, and first entry in my new journal, I see it fitting to include my picture with tennis legend Martina Navratalova whom I had the honor of meeting last spring. She wears her accomplishments and fame most graciously and is extremely generous with her time. I'll never forget meeting her. Congratulations to Justine Henin who won the women's title last night! # posted by DM Anderson @ 8:19 AM |
